Purchasing Items Online from an Individual

by wsor on Jul.18, 2009, under Uncategorized

The internet has made shopping easier than ever before. You don’t have to visit a store or shop to try and find the things you want, and if you can’t find an item in your hometown, you will probably be able to find it on the internet. It is a great convenience, especially to those who are strapped for time, however there are risks associated with it as well. When you purchase something from an individual online, you are not looking at them face to face. This veil of anonymity encourages criminals to try and scam innocent people. For those of you who shop online, it’s important to check certain things before you give your hard earned money to just anyone. Scammers are waiting to snap it up and it could end up in a heartbreaking situation.

There are some tips you can use in order to keep your money safe from scammers. If you have the name of the person, simply use Google to search their name along with the word scam. If anyone has complained that this person has scammed them, it should pop up in the results page. Another thing you can do is visit a website which allows you to search the background of individuals.

There are countless cases of internet scam and it takes just one slip to give up what you have worked hard for. Another thing you can do to check out the individual and ask him or her for references. If they don’t give you any references, don’t buy what they are selling. Most people who are selling something online will have some type of reference. If you do get references, call every single one of them and ask what kind of service they received from this person and whether he was timely and professional.

You may find out that he or she is the best, most wonderful salesperson there is on the internet. However, you may also find out some nasty little secrets that this person has been hiding. Regardless, it’s important that you always check. Should you ever notice strange charges on your credit card, you need to contest the charge immediately and cancel your card so that no more money will be charged on it. Using the insightful tips and tricks above will help you empower yourself so that you can avoid being scammed and purchase the product that you really love from someone who is a great and honest person.

One example of a website like that is Cell Phone Lookup and you can easily type in the person’s name into the textbox. You will then be given access to important records such as if that person has ever been convicted of a misdemeanor or a felony. You will also be told where that person lives, what their phone number is, if they are married and whether or not they have criminal arrest warrants out for them. This is valuable information to those who wish to ensure that their money is going to someone who is not going to scam them.

Check for the Children’s Sake!

by wsor on Jul.18, 2009, under Uncategorized

Most parents drive their children around everywhere they go. Has your child ever told you to ‘just drop them off here?’ Most parents assume that their kids are too cool to be dropped off at the front door, or to be seen with their parents. It’s one of those things we roll our eyes at and get over. However, what if your child is visiting somewhere he shouldn’t be visiting. You just never know what kind of people your child can end up hanging around with. Next time you are asked to drop your child off in front of a house rather than walking him or her in, or next time your child wants you to drop him or her off down the block with no explanation, you may want to take note of the address. Here’s why.

Your child could be visiting someone very dangerous or be placing himself in a terrible situation. You don’t want to invade your child’s privacy, however you don’t want your child to become injured or hurt. As a good parent, you have to make sure that your child is safe and that you are doing all that you can in order to ensure that. If you would like to do this without making your child hate you, do it secretly!

In fact, you can find out if they have ever been charged of a felony or a misdemeanor, you can have access to their criminal and civil court records and much more. You will instantly be able to tell whether your child is in danger or not from the people who live here. Your child will never know that you have checked, and neither will the people that you search for. Many times, parents have no idea how to check and make sure that their children are safe. This is one resource that watchful parents just can’t live without.

If you have questions about where your child is going or who they are calling, all you need is the address or the phone number. All you have to do is type in either one and you don’t have to know the name of the people who you are searching for. You can find out if they have ever been charged with a crime, you can see their marriage and death certificates and you can find out if they are a danger to your child. In this day and age, we can’t afford to assume that our children are safe – we simply have to make sure. You can visit Reverse Directory Research and place an address or a phone number in the text box. You will instantly receive reports about who owns the house or the phone and what kind of person they are. Utilize the tips and advice above along with this site or another site that allows you to search in this way, so that you can rest assured that your child is safe.

A Tragedy Prevented!

by wsor on Jul.18, 2009, under Uncategorized

Brock had used a website called Phone Number Lookup Research one time to find out who the owner was of a cell number he had found in his briefcase. It had been scrawled on a napkin and must have been there forever because he had totally forgotten where it came from. After finding out about this website through a search online, he had found out that the number was from a client that he’d worked with several months prior. After using the website that one time, he had forgotten about it.

Until it was his turn to take the kids to the park. Jesse was a four year old with limitless energy and Laura was a thirteen year old that had just started begging her dad to allow her to wear fingernail polish. Their mother and Brock’s wife had a meeting and it was his day to spend time with the kids. In the middle of running around the slide to catch Jesse and keep him from putting a frog on another little girl, Brock had a phone call. It was an important client that couldn’t wait, so he told Laura to watch Jesse and he went to the bench to answer the call.

The client was particularly rattled and kept Brock on the phone and distracted longer than he’d planned to be. He rifled through his briefcase to find papers that he could reference for the client in order to explain a point and by the time he got off the phone, half an hour had passed. Of course, he had glanced up at the children, but seeing that they were still there and playing, he hadn’t worried.

On the way home, Laura became upset. Brock tried to find out why and was absolutely floored and outraged when he did find out. While he was on the phone, a man had come to the fence on the other side of the park. He had called Laura over and talked to her for a minute. He told her that she was very pretty and that he would like to talk to her more. Laura described the man as ‘really old, like Grandpa.’ She was extremely upset and said that the man had said she would make a good girlfriend. He had given her a piece of paper with a cell phone number on it and told her to call him.

Brock saw completely red and after dropping the kids off at home, he returned to the park and looked around. Of course, the man was nowhere to be found. Just then, Brock remembered the cell phone number and the website. Speeding home, he went to Phone Number Lookup Research and entered the number. Although the man had thought he was being smart to give the girl a cell phone number, Brock found his name instantly. Disturbingly, he also found his criminal records and found out he was a convicted sex offender. They immediately called the police, of course, and the man was arrested. Brock couldn’t have been more thankful that this website had stopped this man from harassing or doing worse things to other girls Laura’s age. Brock never took another call at the park again, either.

Is Your Spouse Hiding Something?

by wsor on Jul.17, 2009, under Uncategorized

No one wants their marriage to fail. If they didn’t want it to last forever, they wouldn’t have gotten married in the first place, right? Well, many times things happen that we aren’t able to control and sometimes, affairs happen as well. We all know this, so when we see suspicious behavior from our spouses, it can really make us wonder what in the world is going on. Maybe your spouse has stayed out later, perhaps they have ducked out of the room soon after a call came through on their cell, or maybe you found a number that had no name attached to it. Here are a few tips on what to do next.

If you have the number or if you have checked your spouse’s cell phone and found strange numbers with no name attached, you can find out exactly who they are. There are many websites where you can enter a number, even a cell phone number and get loads of information back. So, get the number and visit a site like Reverse Look Up Resaerch. You will be able to enter the phone number into the text box and submit it. Once you have done that, you will receive access to their full name, home address, marriage information such as a certificate, arrest information, court records and much more.

This is a great idea because you are able to find out who the number belongs to without confronting your spouse and allowing him or her to know that you have been suspicious. If they have done nothing wrong, but find out you’ve been snooping through their cell phone, it could be you who is in trouble! You can maintain that trust unless you find out that something fishy is going on in your relationship. Another benefit to this is that it could be something completely innocent. You don’t want your spouse to know that you’ve been suspecting him or her of cheating and they’ve been calling a work buddy or even worse – they have been orchestrating a surprise for you.

However, should you find out that your spouse has been calling someone that they shouldn’t; you will have the proof so they will find it very hard to try and deny. You can pursue that any way you choose, whether you wan to call this number and let them know just how you feel, or if you want to wait and ask your spouse what has been going on behind your back. Finding out that your spouse has been calling a strange number, staying out very late or working late in combination with other signs can be terrible. You will feel betrayed, angry, sad and much more. With the websites like this that allow you to find out the truth, you don’t just have to wonder who the number belongs to. You can find out once and for all.

Beware Online Predators.

by wsor on Jul.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

There is something very frightening going on that most parents don’t know about. While most people do realize that there are internet predators, they really don’t understand how many and what kind of organized groups they hang out in. The fact is that there are pedophiles and sex offenders all over the internet. Many of these sex offenders and pedophiles are very proud of their actions and thoughts; in fact, there are groups of these offenders trying to change laws in order to be able to indulge their sexual desires. Most of them are convicted criminals and travel in circles of other convicted criminals – doing what? They are looking for vulnerable children online. This is a terrifying thought, isn’t it? As parents, you need to be very proactive to keep your children safe. Here are some important tips to keep your kids safe online.

• Do not allow your children to post pictures of themselves online. Do not post pictures of your children on any social networking sites. Predators have been known to take pictures from online albums and post them on pedophile websites.

• Pay very close attention to the people that your children communicate with online. Many pedophiles and sex offenders try and lure children into conversation. According to many experts, pedophiles will speak to a child or adolescent for weeks or months before trying to set up a meeting with them.

• Should you find a suspicious person is e-mailing, chatting or instant messaging your teenager or child, you should find out who it is. There are some very easy ways to do this.

The first thing you should do is visit one of the websites that allow you to perform an instant background check on someone – even with just their e-mail address. One of these websites is Florida Inmate Search. With this website, you can enter an e-mail address and find out if that person has ever been convicted of any sort of crime. You will also find out their name, address and phone number along with local and nationwide arrest and conviction information. This will tell you if you should be worried about this person that your child is speaking to. Obviously, if it is an adult, you should be nervous. There is no reason for an adult to chat, message or e-mail a child that they have met online.

Should you find that the person you are searching has been convicted of a crime, especially a sex offender crime; you should report them to your local police as well as your FBI immediately. A large percentage of sex offenders will commit another crime, talk to another child, view pictures of children online and many more horrifying things. Reporting these people to the proper law authorities is imperative. They are violating the law if they are talking to your child. Check them out. Find out who they really are with the method explained above. Make sure your child is safe. Unfortunately, a parent cannot be too careful if they want to keep their children safe from harm.

Is There a Person That Gives You the Willies?

by wsor on Jul.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

In a neighborhood in South Dakota, a mom and her three kids lived in a nice neighborhood. Because she was a widow, the community was very helpful and supportive of her when she moved in. They would bring her homemade meals, desserts and even offer to baby sit while she found a new job. Of course, this woman was very happy about the support and such that she received. The man who lived next door would often come out and talk to her over the fence. She enjoyed gardening, so she would weed the garden and plant seeds while they chatted. The woman noticed that her daughter enjoyed talking to the man as well. Several times she watched the man laughing at her daughter’s 8 year old jokes over the fence. For some unknown reason, it made the hair on the back of her neck stand up.

After a couple more times of watching her daughter talk to this man over the fence, the mother informed her daughter that she was not to stand outside and speak to the man anymore. When her daughter asked why, she didn’t have a reply. In fact, she even asked herself what made her feel so strange about the man talking to her daughter. He had been nothing but nice and probably just felt sorry for the little ones losing their dad the way they did. Without trying to alarm her daughter, the mom simply told her that it wasn’t polite to hold the man up all day, chatting and bothering him.

Searching on the web one day, the mother came across a website called California Inmate Search. The explanation of the site piqued the mother’s interest and she had a thought. Knowing the next door neighbor’s name, she decided to check him out. Because the website said that you could information on someone just by knowing their name, the mother decided to satisfy her curiosity. She typed in the name and within seconds she was directed to a page full of information on this very ‘nice’ man. In fact, she received his local and national criminal and civil records, his phone number, his address, and his arrest records. It turns out that a few years ago; this man was convicted of touching a child under the age of 8 for sexual purposes. The mother was absolutely horrified. She could not believe what she was reading and that no one had told her anything.

Deciding it must be a mistake, she checked the local sex offender list and sure enough, he was there. The mother alerted the police that the man had been speaking with her daughter, and decided to move. She was so thankful that the website had been there and that she had been feeling strangely about him. Without those two things, she didn’t want to think about what might have eventually happened. If you are suspicious about someone, please do what this mother did and check it out. You never know what kind of tragedy you can prevent.

Yeast Infection.

by wsor on Jul.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

Pay attention now. You will have better long-term success with your cure if

you understand how yeast lives in our bodies.

o Candida albicans is a type of fungus93 that causes infection in people (

pronounced can-dee-da as in Dawn’s song “Candida”). Older names for this

fungus are Oidium Albicans and Monilia Candida.

o The study of fungi (the scientific plural for fungus) is Mycology, which

comes from the Greek word mykos, meaning mushroom.

o Fungi are distinct and different from bacteria. They are more plant-like.

They all are quite advanced organisms, some showing specialized cellular

structure.

o All fungi need oxygen to survive.

o Most of the weight of a fungus is its outer cell wall, which is made up

mainly of special sugars combined to form types of cellulose.

o Although a fungus is a living, plant-like organism, it does not have roots

or leaves. It does not use the sun for photosynthesis. Instead, it takes all

of its nutrients from its environment.

o The natural place for a fungus to live is in water, soil, and decaying

debris.

o A fungus survives by secreting enzymes which break down substances in its

environment so that the fungus can absorb them as nutrients.

Are you still with me? The description of how a fungus lives is one of the

first things you need to know to begin to defend your body. You want to

create an environment that is hostile to the survival of that fungus that is

making you so miserable.
There are about 100 different types of Candida. The one usually causing a

yeast infection is Candida albicans. Given that there are about 100,000 types

of fungi, we should look on the bright side and consider ourselves lucky that

only about 100 can cause infection in people. Of these 100, fewer than a

dozen types cause about 90% of illness.
Yet knowing all this does not bring comfort when one of the little beasties

has latched on to us.
What is comforting to know is that fungi can grow into yeast forms and mold

forms — both of which we can control and destroy. Yeast refers to single

cell growth. Mold refers to multicellular colonies. When it is in a yeast

form, Candida albicans does not generally cause us problems. The problems

begin when Candida albicans take on a mold form. Your infection has occurred

because the living conditions for the fungus were right to turn the yeast

form into the mold form.
You’re not going to enjoy reading this description of what is going on in and

on your body, but read it you must. Once you understand what you can’t see

but sure can feel, you will be even more convinced that you have to try and

stick with an effective cure. So, take a deep breath and read on.

o When yeast turns into the mold form, it sends out branches or tubes called

hyphe. These tubes can invade tissues and burrow into skin between the skin

cells. Candida albicans lives with us normally in the yeast form and is not

an infection. When Candida albicans is exposed to the liquid part of blood (

serum) it changes to the mold form and sends out its tubes (hyphe).

o The hyphe secrete enzymes that break down the body’s cells, allowing the

hyphe to absorb nutrients. The hyphe invade to find more serum and to produce

more yeast cells.

o When the hyphe have invaded below the skin surface, the body normally

responds to this invasion with swelling, heat and pain. White blood cells,

antibodies and other factors in the blood collect at the site of the invasion

and attack the invading mold.

o At the stage when Candida albicans has changed from yeast to mold form and

invaded the skin, it causes an infection, referred to as Candidiasis.

o Depending on where the infection is, the condition can be trivial or life

threatening. Wherever is it, the infection is making you feel just awful.

After reading the descriptions above, you will understand that what we call a

yeast infection is actually a mold infection. The mold form of the fungus

usually causes all the problems. Because most people usually refer to a

fungal infection as a yeast infection. Learn about yeast treatment here.

Off Their Chests.

MEN’S HEALTH
Off Their Chests
The fear of developing ‘manboobs’ surely strikes at the heart of men. What causes some men to develop breasts, and how it can be treated.

By Jessica Bennett | Newsweek Web Exclusive
Nov 8, 2007
Junior high school isn’t easy for anyone. But for Merle Yost, it was constant dread. He was tortured with bras hung over his locker, the constant assignment to the “skins” team during gym class, and a particularly brutal nickname (”Tits”). “I learned really early to cover up and hide, and I spent the next 20 years wearing big shirts to cover my chest,” he recalls.

Two decades and two breast-reduction surgeries later, Yost, 49, is a California psychotherapist, author and host of a Web site that deals with the condition that caused him to grow abnormally large male breasts, man boobs. He’s one of thousands of men who suffer from this common disordermany unknowingly. It’s a condition that can cause permanent damage to a guy’s self esteemespecially if it occurs at a young age. “I haven’t gone swimming in five years, and I have never taken my shirt off in public,” says one 19-year-old in a post on Yost’s site.

The condition may be most devastating to teens, but it can strike at any age. In fact, nearly 50 percent of all men will experience man boobs at some point in their lives, according to Glenn Braunstein, the chairman of medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and the author of a recent New England Journal of Medicine article on the condition. Many sufferers don’t know that man boobs is a medical condition caused by hormone fluctuations and weight gain. Nor do they know that exercise or weight loss alone may not be effective in getting rid of male breasts once they develop.

Before male readers start to freak, we should point out that man boobs is both treatable and benign, generally caused by hormonal ups and downs that can occur naturally during infancy, puberty and middle age. And while nearly 65 percent of boys in puberty will experience it to some degree, in 95 percent of those cases the condition will resolve on its own, says Braunstein. Adult-onset gynecomastia is another story. It can sometimes be hereditary but is more commonly spurred by conditions like obesity, chronic kidney disease or an overactive thyroid, as well as by certain medications like steroids that cause hormone levels to shift. And while doctors don’t know why it resolves itself in some people but not in others, some studies indicate that it will eventually abate in up to 80 percent of adult men.
One of the biggest culprits for adultsand one that’s easily avoidableis weight gain. Braunstein, a hormone expert, explains that when men gain weight, they’re not just getting bigger; the extra weight is actually changing their hormone productionand not in a way that most men would like. By nature, fat tissue manufactures the female hormone estrogen, which in turn stimulates breast tissuemeaning that significant weight gain will always be associated with some sort of breast growth, even in men, according to experts. A person who’s overweight will be fatter all around, and maybe even develop the excessive breast fat that doctors call pseudogynecomastiathe appearance of male breasts caused by fat alone. But Dr. Elliot Jacobs, a New York plastic surgeon who specializes in man boobs treatment (and who suffers from the condition himself), says that most really overweight men are developing actual breast tissue, not just some extra padding. Doctors say that virtually all obese men (those who have a body mass index of 30 or greater, experience some degree of breast growth. And once that breast tissue is established, it doesn’t go away on its ownno matter how much you exercise or diet, warns Braunstein. Considering that 75 percent of Americans are likely to be overweight by 2015, according to a recent John Hopkins study, men may want to think twice about supersizing that cheeseburger.

The seeming inevitability of “manboobs” has even spurred some middle-aged men to embrace the situation. How else to explain all those fleshy bare chests at the beach and sporting events? And manboobs even entered the cultural lexicon with a “Seinfeld” episode in which Kramer designs a “bro” to help with Georges fathers breast development. Today “manboobs” are celebrated on Web sites and in songs.

Stop Prank Calls Now

by wsor on Jul.14, 2009, under Uncategorized

Prank calls are one of the most annoying things in the entire world. If you have received one or two, you probably shook your head and wished that the caller would get a life and stop aggravating people. However, if you have received many, you probably started to get nervous. You may have wondered if this was really a prank caller or if it was someone that meant you harm. If the prank caller threatened you in some way, you probably definitely wondered if the caller meant you harm. It is not a light situation if you are afraid for your family or your children and your safety. This happens to many different people that have had to deal with this.

The trouble is that the police can’t do much of anything unless there is a real threatening event that happens outside of the phone calls. This is enough to make you angry on top of feeling threatened. It’s frustrating to know the phone number of the person but not the name. However, you can take action yourself and make the calls stop happening. Whether it’s an unlisted home phone number or a cell phone number, it is possible to find out the identity of the caller without having the police trace the telephone calls.

Simply visit a website like Reverse Directory Research and enter the phone number of the person that called you. You can get the number from your phone bill or the caller ID. After you enter the phone number, simply wait a few seconds and you will be provided with the name and address of the person who is associated with the phone number. You can even assure yourself that they are not dangerous, or get enough information for the police to act by searching their criminal or arrest records which are also provided. Yes, you can find out if they have ever been charged with a crime, locally or nationally. You can see if it was a misdemeanor or a felony as well.

You do not have to deal with phone calls like this and be helpless. When you search their number at a site like Reverse Directory Research, you can get the truth about who is calling you. Then, either the police can take over, or you can answer the phone with their name and inform them that you have their address and more. Feel free to say it back to them. If you do this, chances are they will not call you back. If they are dangerous or do have a criminal arrest record, you should not answer the calls. Simply inform the police and allow them to do their job. They will consider the calls a priority and a threat if the person has a criminal record. If this is happening to you, don’t take it any longer. Do something about it and show that prank caller that they have stumbled upon the wrong person’s phone number.
